Muhammad. Allah says, “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he
is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full
knowledge of all things. PICKTHAL: Muhammad is not the father of any man among
you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah
is ever Aware of all things. SHAKIR:
Muhammad is not the father of any of your
men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah
is cognizant of all things. KHALIFA: Muhammad was not the father of any man
among you. He was a messenger of GOD and the final prophet. GOD is fully aware
of all things.” [Al-Ahzab 33:40]
Messenger to (instruct) mankind . Allah
says, “Whatever good, (O man!) happens to
thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul.
and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah
for a witness.” [An-Nisa 4:79]
Glad tidings, & warning. Allah says, “We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger)
to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men
understand not.” [Saba’ 34:28]
Unlettered Prophet. Allah says, “"And ordain for us that which
is good, in this life and in the Hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee."
He said: "With My punishment I visit whom I will; but My mercy extendeth
to all things. That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and practise
regular charity, and those who believe in Our signs;-
"Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered
Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and
the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil;
he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what
is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the
yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help
him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will
prosper."” [Al-A’raf 7:156-157]
A Messenger to come after me. Allah
says, “And remember, Jesus, the son of
Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to
you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a
Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came
to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"” [Ash-Shaff 61:6]
